Short History of Victory
In October of 1993, while Mark Crow was serving as Youth Pastor and Jennifer Crow was serving as Worship Leader at Faith Family Church in Victoria, Texas, the Lord spoke to Mark’s spirit that they were to move their family to start a church in Oklahoma.
On August 7, 1994, the first church service of Victory was held at Putnam City original High School with an attendance of 53 people. Amazingly, one man who had heard the radio advertisements came to the service and came forward to accept Christ for the first time!
When attendance outgrew the high school we moved into an older church building at 5731 N.W. 41st street. In April of 1997, when the Sunday morning attendance reached approximately 700, a former retail building was rented across the street from the church. It consisted of approximately 80,000 sq. ft. The building was purchased and the young church settled in to grow in number.
In 1999, Victory School of the Arts was started as a school offering classes and lessons in all types of dance, music, drama, etc. for all ages.
Currently, Victory has approximately 65 full and part time staff
members, including Victory School of the Arts, and a weekly attendance
of over 6,000.
Victory has a heart to see new churches located around the world that are
ministering the love of God to all people. In 2000, Victory partnered with a small, college ministry in Norman, Oklahoma that was about to close its doors. Since the first campus was founded, Victory has gone on to
establish Victory Iglesia in Downtown OKC, and Victory South Coast in Corpus Christi, TX. South Coast and Norman locations currently have Worship Experiences with Pastor Mark preaching live via simulcast.
Victory desires to start more campuses as God guides and directs. Watch here for details about upcoming cities.
